I always hesitate to do tutorials because it's sort of like saying 'Yeah, I know what I'm doing! XD' when, mostly, I really don't. I always get the feeling someone with better skills will come along and make some kind of Pffffft noise. :3 But I understand that some people (like, two people maybe) are interested to know how I do certain things.
So in this tutorial I've included a guideline of how exactly I produce 'lineless' work, which includes descriptions on how to make your own custom brush and use layer masks for highlighting.
I'm sure this isn't the only way to go about things, this is simply the way I work. I'm incredibly messy. I mean... SERIOUSLY, messy. I never finish anything before I move on to the next stage, so I'm constantly going back and correcting things which I'm sure doesn't make for an easily understood tutorial.
But nevertheless, I've described it to the best of my ability, and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
I would try some tips from ur tutorial, is very good, only I use a twisted and dumbed down version of Photoshop at the moment, just until I can get a better one.
Cute pic I love the color use

Oooooh, wow, okay, seriously, you really opened up a few things i didn't know yet (which with that program is a lot but still!) This i think will help a LOT. I mean that seriously too! I think you listed at the least two things i went "Oooooh wel lDUH. i can't believe it's taken me this long to even figure that out." xD This is great! I loooove the drawing but you did help a lot! (esp the Shift when shrinking something... it sounds dumb, but i didn't know that and have used it countless times now since seeing this. So thanks)
I love Tutorials, evne ones where it seems simple and everyone should know it. Cus out there someone does NOT know it. So THANKS!

I know what you mean, though. When I was starting out and was hunting for all kinds of tutorials, none of them seemed particularly helpful to n00bs like me. XD I was always wishing someone would explain the very basics.
And I've been using Photoshop for years now, but there are still some parts I don't get. XD
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
