I'd like to point out that I don't mind alcohol. Some of my most favourite relatives are alcoholics.

This is probably in response to the new licensing laws in Britain that will be extending drinking hours through the night in an effort to make us more 'continental'. It's complete bollocks, of course. Britons are not smart enough to be cultured. If no one tells us to stop drinking and go home, we won't stop drinking or go home. People will start living in pubs.

I really dislike binge drinking, actually. It's especially bad in Britain. I don't get the appeal of going out with the goal of getting as plastered as possible until you're assaulting anything that moves... and if it doesn't move, assaulting it till it does. Nothing that you do whilst on a binge, including vomiting, shouting and sweating buckets, is at all attractive. And you feel like shite in the morning (if you're lucky). I dig the idea of going for a drink and a good time with your mates, but it's utterly disgusting to see some people take it way too far and lose so much control of themselves that they start slapping and punching complete strangers. And they do it weekly. Anyone with self-respect shouldn't deliberately get drunk as an excuse to act like an asshole.

What is already a very drunk nation is about to get a lot drunker. Hurray.


So... yeah. Don't binge. It's gross. Keep your liver happy and you'll live to see the other side of 30.
